Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress:
"PBDE (flame retardents), dioxins, PCBs etc bioaccumulate in fat tissue. One study shows these agents cause ER stress that contributes to inflammatory processes in fat cells, inhibition of gene expression and production of MCP-1. MCP-1 is an inflammatory mediator associated with sickness syndrome."
